Born in Ghent, Belgium in 1972. She studied at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent with Eric De Queker and Philippe Benoit for flute and contemporary music with Godfried-Willem Raes. She specializes in contemporary flutemusic and since 1999 she is studying the repertoire of Karlheinz Stockhausen with Kathinka Pasveer. As a soloist and in different ensembles for new music she played at several festivals and in concerts at Tilburg, Essen, Aveiro, San Francisco, Buffalo, Stockholm, Paris...
During the Stockhausen Courses of 1999 she received the third prize for the performance of FLAUTINA. In 2000 she received at the Stockhausen Courses a special prize for the performance of ELUFA, with Michele Marelli (basset-horn) and ZUNGENSPITZENTANZ, with Marc Maes (synthesizer). In August 2001, she received the second prize together with Michele Marelli for the interpretation of AVE.
Also in 2001 she became finalist at the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in Rotterdam.
Untill August 2001 she was a member of the Champ d'Action Ensemble for new music.
In November 2001 she became "Laureate of the Orpheus institute" with a post-graduate study on the topic 'extentions in new flute music'.
