The Stockhausen Courses Kürten 2008 are not only aimed at composers, performers, musicologists and technicians.
Any lover of Stockhausen’s music is cordially invited to observe the rehearsals, master classes, lectures and concerts.
All instruction and dialogue is in English. The atmosphere and dress code are relaxed and informal.
There is also a great deal of friendship and camaraderie among the participants.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

The Kunststiftung NRW provides four scholarships for young and very talented musicians (vocalists, instrumentalists or sound projectionists).
Precondition for an application is, that the applicant was either born, is living or is studying / has studied in the german state

JOURNAL D‘UN MUSICOLOGUE A KÜRTEN (French)

Kuerten is a small community about 30 kilometres (19 miles) east of Cologne in the part of Germany called Bergisches Land. Stockhausen has lived there since 1965. For the tenth time, the community of Kuerten is allowing the Stockhausen Foundation for Music to use its school complex and community centre for the continuation of its annual international composition and interpretation courses. Composers, interpreters, musicologists and music lovers world-wide are warmly invited to participate in the tenth Stockhausen Courses.
