for pianists during the Stockhausen Courses Kuerten 2007.

The two pianists will teach in 8 seminars how to perform 15 NATURAL DURATIONS for piano
and the fourteen piano pieces which Stockhausen composed since 1952.

Note from Jim Stonebraker: During my a past visit to the Stockhausen Courses Kürten (July 8-16, 2006) I attended and
recorded every morning rehearsal at the Sülztalhalle. Stockhausen holds a dress rehearsal at 10 am to prepare for the
concert held at 8 pm the same evening. I personally find the morning rehersals the most exciting part of the Courses.
The joy of seeing Stockhausen work on his new compositions, up close with the performers is reason enough for any music
lover to attend the courses. Stockhausen's new KLANG works are completely different than anything else he has composed.

I recorded these performances on a MiniDV camera using a stereo condenser microphone.

Stockhausen-Verlag allowed me to record these performances for my personal use and study.
